Movement begins with the first step. However, forward progress is rarely linear and navigating the unknown can feel chaotic and result in feeling stuck or immobilized. My approach - the 'More-In-Me MOVEment' — is based on a core belief that each of us has unlimited potential and the wherewithal to figure out how to get moving to access it.
You’ll find these three themes integrated throughout the learning modules.
I can’t tell you what to do. I can help you develop practices and identify processes so you can hear your own wise voice telling you what to do.
The discomfort of uncertainty is the most precious part of the experience. If you can be comfortable with not knowing, you can learn anything.
What you practice prevails.
A learning mindset, your willingness to stay in the discomfort of not knowing and your ability to moderate your energy are a result of focused regular daily practices related to mood, movement and mindset. Think of it as developing core strength inside and out.
In my research on people who make changes and achieve success in their endeavours, three traits became apparent: WILL, FOCUS and FORTITUDE. Your daily mood, movement and mindset practices will help you develop these traits.
Will is the inner conviction and deep commitment to take action and go after what you want. You may not know how you will get where you want to go. However, you are willing to do what it takes and accept whatever that entails.
Focus means having a strategy or plan that provides direction on where, when, and how to direct your energy. Discipline enables you to gain traction and keep moving towards what you want. One step at a time.
Fortitude includes the habits, activities and practices that release the flow of energy to sustain your motivation to take action and generate strength and courage to keep you moving.
CULTIVATING WILL + FOCUS + FORTITUDE = FINDING ‘MORE-IN-ME’
You have more in you. You know this in your heart centre. Curiosity, courage and compassion will help you tune in to your inner wisdom. You’ll learn about developing these attributes in the courses below.
We are always in the process of becoming. Adopting a learning mindset means you can be intentional about who you become and your ability to move into possibilities for yourself.
